Synopsis: Find out how deputy head John Wootton is using ICT to dramatically impact the professional development of his teachers at Holyhead Secondary School in Birmingham.
Using hidden cameras, John is able to monitor lessons remotely, providing instant feedback via a wireless earpiece worn by the teacher. This technology allows John to support his staff with a number of issues, including disruptive behaviour.
NQT Jenny Campbell teaches Year 8 science at Holyhead. Through close monitoring her lesson, John is able to provide Jenny with some useful feedback on her classroom management.
